Wow, I actually drew something? Check out the window, I think the Apocalypse might be coming.
Hyperbolical metaphors about unlikely events aside, I'm sure you must be familiar with the Schrödinger's Cat thought experiment. If not, it's a hypothetical situation designed to explain quantum mechanics and the observer's paradox. Basically, if you put a cat, some radioactive material, and a vial of poison in a steel box and close it, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead until you open the box later and check.
But, with all that radioactive material, mad science and cute animals all thrown together, I find there's a distinctly possible third option that the cat could mutate into some kind of radioactive creature, borne from the mysterious powers of the atom! I mean, it's a pretty foregone conclusion, isn't it?
Some initial details about him: he's approximately seven feet tall and 200 or so pounds, wears a lead-lined suit of armour so as to contain the powerful radiation coming from his mutated body, his powers (whatever they are) grow stronger when he's a heavily irradiated area or exposed to radiation, and his favourite food is bananas. Why bananas? Well, because they're radioactive
, of course!
Drawn with a Wacom Intuos 4 in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 6. I may or may not try something new with this character in the future; I think he seems pretty solid.
