Well, this was a bit of a pain in the ass. After I had sketched this drawing, I thought to myself "Y'know, it would be fun to try drawing this in Painter, since I want to practice digital painting a bit."
So I got Corel Painter 11, but then I noticed it was crashing every ten minutes. So out of frustration, I downgraded to Painter X to do most of the drawing. Then later, I found out exactly what was making Painter 11 crash, and it was easily avoidable, so I switched back to THAT to finish the drawing. It was exhausting, but I like the result.
It's Shantae, the sassy dancing half-genie of video game fame! I tried shading her with paint blending than my usual method of an overlay, and though it takes a lot longer, I like the results better. It looks more natural.
